Limited Edition Kona Blackout Platinum from our KONA Series is one of our most popular gloves series, includes a memory foam lining to help absorb hard shots! BioHybrid Palm, precurved palm with 4mm German Supreme Latex and Removable Finger Protection.

LATEX 4mm Pro Platinum Grey German Supreme All Weather Palm

Grip: This latex is super sticky 4mm Limited Edition Grey Platinum German Supreme Latex is one of the top Latex's used in the world, it will provide amazing grip and provide great feel for the ball. It is highly recommended to Pre-wet for best grip possible, wetting the Supreme Latex will activate the chemicals in the Latex as well as decrease the wear on the glove.

FINGER PROTECTION Removable FINGERSAVES

Finger Protection:  Pro Keepers wears fingersaves in his gloves during matches and swears by the West Coast Guardian Finger Protection System.  This glove includes finger (not thumb) saves with a convenient small flex pocket for quick removal.  Finger Saves Provide excellent protection and flexes and forms to your hand for maximum protection against injury.  Quickly remove them for a lighter more flexible glove! Thumb saves are not available on this glove.

PALM Hybrid (Roll/Flat/Expanse) 3 in 1 Palm Cut

CUT:  BioHYBRID- This Cut Combines Wrap Over/Under Thumb for light feel and increased flexibility along with a Roll Index (with V notch for improved flexibility) and pinky, with a MAX Middle and Ring Finger. The Combination of Cuts was developed over 18 months with over half of the West Coast Pro-Team Keepers testing and providing feedback.  The cut is designed is designed to contour to your hand with a enhanced pre-curve, making this the first cut of its type from a North American Glove Company!

PUNCH ZONE Punching Area

The Punch Zone gives you more control to clear the ball and is built in the knuckles where you actually punch the ball from, it also increases flexibility in the backhand.

WRIST Latex Wide Single Wrist Strap

Wrist: Latex Wrist strap with double Velcro for added security provide a snug and close fitting enclosure along with an extra large Glove iD box.

​BACKHAND Ultra Durable Composite

Backhand: 3mm Composite German Latex with Four Flexibility points in the backhand to allow full motion of the hand, along with a thin lining of Comfort Foam to give the maximum amount of comfort in any glove.  STRIKE GUARD punching zone was designed by capturing Slo-Mo video footage of Keepers to examine exactly where Punching Support was needed, we then placed the STRIKE GUARD punching zone in the exact location where over 95% of keepers punch the ball, providing additional support and flexibility to that area.

FIT Medium to Larger Fitting Glove

Fit: The KONA: BioHYBRID is designed to be a wider fitting to larger glove with added room in the fingers.

Glove Size Guidelines  

  • Goalkeeping Gloves should be worn slightly larger than hands
  • Fingers SHOULD NOT be touching the tip of the gloves
  • Removing Finger Protection will make a glove 1/2 size larger.
  • Reverse/Negative glove cuts are a snugger fit, so it's often best to go a size up if on the border.
  • If you have a larger frame/build, your palm may be larger, requiring a larger glove. Just email us, we are here to help!

How To Measure Your Hands:

Option 1:  Measure the circumference of the widest part of the palm measure the circumference of the widest part of the palm including the thumb. Round up to the next highest inch.

Option 2: ; Measure the length of the hand from tip of the middle finger to the base of the large thumb area where the keeper's thumb meets the wrist. Round up to the next highest inch.

Example:  7.5" rounds up to 8", so a 7 3/4 around hand is a size 8 glove.

Washing Your Gloves  

  • Immerse Gloves Completely with Warm Water (never hot)
  • Put Quarter Size Amount of Glove Wash on Each Palm
  • Work it in on the palm thoroughly, rinsing occasionally
  • Repeat if Neccessary
  • Add Same amount of Glove Wash INSIDE Glove and Water
  • Rinse until no bubbles are seen.
  • Wring Dry Removing All Excess Water
  • Hang Dry (do not put onto heat or in direct sunlight to dry)

Why Use Glove Wash  

  • Most Soaps contain Moisturizers which can harm gloves, West Coast Glove Soap is designed specifically for Gloves
  • Sweat & Dirt Break down your gloves, without cleaning them they won't last as long
  • Washing your gloves restores the grip, bringing back the grip
  • Washing your gloves softens them and makes them more comfortable
  • Dude the Smell... No one wants funky Gloves!

Better product, better price

My son has been playing keeper since u8 now u16. We have spent too much money to find a quality glove. As an MLS-Next player he is challenged a want him to have the correct equipment. We were told at a recent camp that West Coast gloves were a high quality product. 3 of the 5 keepers were wearing their gloves. I figured another $150 to my surprise they were half the price. As for on field play my son says the fit is very good. Grip is on par with other high end gloves he’s used. He says the finger guards are a little more restrictive but he can manage or remove them. As for reliability we will see. On average after a season on turf and Bermuda grass they take a toll and can shred 2. If we can get half of a season of practices, league matches and tournaments out of them, I will be happy. As of now I’m very happy and so is my son.

Worlds best keeper gloves

My daughter loves this brand, she is playing D1 soccer and goes through a paid about twice a year. Kona's are her favorite for "business" but I get her the fun colors for practice. I have never had a problem, they always are shipped really fast and the quality is great. West Coast Goalkeeping is a "keeper" ;-)

I love these gloves. I bought the KONA Blackout Platinum Limited Edition and they feel great and look amazing. Never going to use another brand ever.
