Our Seattle Summer Camps are BACK and set to be bigger and better than ever!
Kicking it off is our newest offering: The WCGK Overnight Camp. This is where goalkeeping meets your classic summer camp experience! Campers will arrive at Camp Waskowitz (North Bend, WA) on July 30th and leave after 4 incredible days on August 2nd. Campers age 10-18 are welcome.
Each camper will receive several shirts, a free pair of gloves, gear and daily camp store credit to set the scene for an experience unlike any other. Campers will stay in cabins and each day will feature a mix of goalkeeper training, on field games, classroom sessions and classic camp activities like swimming, hiking, s'mores, movies and more!
Overnight Camp will also feature the launch of our new Keeper Battle Arena for goalkeeper wars and other games... need we say more?
Beyond the fun, the camp will feature an athletic trainer onsite at all times and all coaches/counselors will undergo background checks and safesport training to ensure the safest possible experience for your camper! We know the overnight event isn't for everyone so we brought back our 2 Day Camp offering! The camp will run August 7th & 8th from 9-3pm at Strafire Sports in Tukwila, WA. Each camper will receive a pair of gloves, shirt and gear bag. Campers age 8-18 are welcome.
Athletes will be split by age and level to ensure a safe and healthy environment for development. The Day Camp will dive deeper into the technical, mental and physical aspects of goalkeeping that are required to compete at the top levels of competitive soccer. Topics covered will include:
- Handling/catching
- Diving
- In possession work (distribution + passing under pressure)
- Positioning and shot stopping
- Breakaways
Don't worry though, it's not all serious business! Each session will have a fun, practical game-like application to each topic. And of course... you know the pros and stars love to show up for the day camp!
