Perfect under game and practice shorts

My son’s team practices on a hard, grass field. For the first time in years, his hips were getting sore and bruised from repetitive diving at practice. These pads work perfectly for him. The padding on the hips absorbs the shock of hitting the hard packed dirt. They are also very sleek, so his technique is not encumbered by a bulky short. Highly recommend these!!

    Padded baselayer

I haven’t worn a padded baselayer in many years but I bruised my hip during a game so I tried them. They definitely helped cushion the landing on dives and one on one challenges. I would call this a somewhat minimal level of padding but that probably makes them more usable. They are comfortable, not at all a tight or compression fit. I got a medium (32-34, I believe) for my 33 waist, even though I would expect to get a large, and they are just barely loose which makes them easy to put on yet don’t slide around or have leg slide up. Overall great.
